Members of the 2011 Leadership 21 Board

The Leadership 21 (L21) Board operates as the Center’s junior board and directly supplements the efforts of the center's staff and board of directors. Specifically, the Leadership 21 Board’s mission is to support the work of the Center by increasing awareness about the Center, encouraging volunteer participation in the Center’s initiatives, and raising funds through a variety of events and outreach activities compatible with the Center’s mission. In addition, the L21 board also serves as a vehicle for creating the next generation of leaders for the IAC.

Reconstituted at the beginning of 2011 with a diverse board of young professionals including lawyers, technologists, hotel-industry and marketing professionals, L21 has organized and participated in a wide range of events to enlist the support of Chicago’s young professional community. These events have included networking events, service events, and fundraisers. Through these initiatives, L21 has brought many new supporters to the Indo-American Center this year, and we hope to continue this momentum into 2012.
